BIO
Aurora was born in Valencia, Spain. In her growing career she has been awarded the First Prize at the 17th International Lyrical and Instrumental Music Competition of les Corts (Barcelona 2021); First Prize and Audience Prize at the 10th International Singing Contest Balaguer 2021. Extraordinary Prize Ferrer-Salat at the prestigious International Singing Contest Tenor Viñas (Barcelona 2021). The 3rd Prize and Public Prize of Concours International de Chant de Froville (France 2015). Young Talent Award Levante-EMV 2016, and Special Prize in Martín y Soler International Singing Competition (2017).
She made her debut in Teatro Real and she has been a soloist in important venues such as Wiener Konzerthaus, Teatro Real de Madrid, Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Palau de la Música Catalana, Belém Auditorium of Lisbon, Beit Hatfutsot Auditorium (Tel Aviv, Israel), Palau de la Música de Valencia, National Museum of Colombia Auditorium, Teatro Verdi di Pisa (Italy), Teatro Colón A Coruña (Spain). Besides, she has sung under the musical direction of conductors such as Paul Agnew, Wolfgang Katschner, Aarón Zapico, Martin Gester, Juan Luis Martínez, Virginia Martínez, Karl- Friedrich Beringer, Luis Antonio González, Esteban Mazer, Emilio Moreno, Xavier Puig Ortiz, Pau Jorquera, Nicolae Dohotaru, Albert Recasens, Alberto Miguélez, Riccardo Serenelli, among others.
In the field of opera, she has performed prominent opera titles such as Verdi’s Rigoletto (Gilda, 2020); Donizetti’s Don Pasquale (Norina, 2021), Die Zauberflöte (Pamina); La Sonnambula (Lisa, Teatro Jovellanos 2016); Carmen (Frasquita, Palau de la Música Catalana); Rossini’s L’occasione fa il ladro (Berenice, Teatre de Sarrià). Aurora has performed numerous baroque operas, which form the core of her repertoire: Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas (Belinda, 2nd Woman, 1st Witch), Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona (Serpina, 2020); Händel’s Orlando (Angelica), Handel’s Acis & Galatea (Teatre Sant Cugat, 2021); Los Elementos de Literes (Agua, Teatro de la Zarzuela, 2019); Vendado es amor by Nebra (Teatro Colón, A Coruña 2020), Venus & Adonis (Auditorio Nacional Madrid 2018), Lidarti’s Esther (Beit Hatfutsot Auditorium, Tel Aviv, 2017).
Aurora’s concert engagements included numerous renowned works such as Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Handel’s The Messiah; Bach’s Magnificat, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Dvorâk’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Requiem and Exsultate jubilate. As well as baroque works such as Duron’s Coronis at the Auditorio Nacional of Madrid; or Scarlatti’s L’Assunzione della Beata Vergine. She has also premiered contemporary works such as Salve Regina by Ciccolini; Kevin Houben’s The Lost Labyrinth, for soprano and wind orchestra or Blanco’s Besse Opera Trilogy.
She has released her first solo CD devoted to Spanish baroque music: Amoroso Señor - cantadas de José de Torres. She has also collaborated as a soloist in albums of international ensembles such as: Scarlatti: L’Asunzione della Beata Vergine with Ensemble Baroque de Monaco). La Guerra de los Gigantes (Orquesta Barroca de Granada).
In the academic field, after completing her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia, she was awarded the Extraordinary Graduation Prize in 2015. She completed her Singing Master’s Degree on Historic Performance at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona 2016) obtaining the Maximum Grade with Honours.
